I was born in Guangzhou, China and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada when I was 7 years old. When I am not traveling, I live in Vancouver, hunting down the latest and best foods/restaurants around. I have a regular, full time job but I live for my vacations. I’m the daughter of a well-known chef in Vancouver and was dragged to secret shop at restaurants to try out their food. So began my life long love affair with cooking and eating. Nothing warms my soul like a good bowl of noodles. I don’t care if my food is coming from a hole in the wall with plastic stool for seating or a 5-star fine dining restaurant. All I care about is that it tastes good. My goal in life is to visit the birth place of all my favourite foods and experience the local culture along the way.
As an increasingly rare member of the “middle-class” millennial group, I’m long past the days where I want to backpack through an area and share rooms (especially the bathroom) with 5 strangers in a hostel. I also do not make enough to travel like the ads, going on luxury river cruises or having guided tours. My goal for this site is to share my travel and food experiences and maybe help some people sort out their travel plans. The photos and videos from the tourism board are often very different from reality.
